Another Great success from our ranger team!!!

Updated: Dec 21, 2021

Many who think of Africa , think of big game, but once a counter poaching unit enters an area, rangers provide a wide variety of protection to all living species, flora and fauna.

This Natal Spurfowl an endemic specie of fowl was caught in a bird snare, luckily still alive and we were able to save its life. These are deadly and normally laid by children. This is where the vicious cycle starts, within a few years, those children are full blown poachers and normally involved in other crimes.

Community engagement and working with schools bordering the areas we protect is crucial , as we can teach world standard concepts of sustainable projects at earning an income, through permaculture and understanding the importance of biodiversity to an area.
